How To Delete An Administrator Account On Windows 10
This shouldn't be hard to fix. Windows is not supposed to automatically login to anything, so can you practice this for me to ensure the registry is set as such?
- First, get to the Run box (press WindowsLogo + R) and run the control NETPLWIZ.
- Brand sure the checkbox is turned on, and so click Apply.
If it is already on, turn it off and back on, then click Utilise. This is in example the registry setting is not reflecting the actual state.

Thank you for the reply. Now it is everything listed in my first bulletin PLUS i have to enter the countersign :)
In "users for this computer" i have two: myself and that administrator which is unable to be deleted.

Small steps. Can you lot check: is this in addition to the normal built-in ambassador business relationship (the one with the real username of "administrator")?
To check, blazon net user at the command prompt. You'll notice that this will show accounts that the NETPLWIZ dialog does not. For case, my bodily Ambassador account is disabled (the default), so it doesn't show (and it cannot exist deleted, only you lot tin can disable it to proceed it from existence available or shown anywhere). (The extra "localadmin" business relationship I have is the admin account I use twenty-four hours-to-day, information technology's just a normal user business relationship for me).
Anyway, if the one that you desire to remove is "the one true admin", then I would but disable it. If it's not, you can type net user username /delete to remove the account. Note that you lot'll demand to run Cmd prompt as admin, so right-click Outset and choose Command Prompt Admin.
PS. Make double-sure you take a remaining admin account. If you don't, and y'all delete one or disable information technology, the only way to set up it is to erase your drive. Okay, the black thing lists "my regular account" every bit an administrator and then "default account" equally guest.
The white thing says Administrator account is the built-in administrator business relationship.
I tried to disable it simply didn't succeed. By that I mean I was still logged in to that account when starting the computer only to discover out that information technology was blocked.
Everything worked fine before Windows 10.

I gave upwardly trying to delete information technology. Something is wrong. I accept same issue Merely worse. I can salve whatsoever files to Documents considering EVERYTHING is at present READ ONLY and it wont let me change it! Tin save ONLY to Desk Peak.

Merely downloaded 10. When I open a Word file or an Excel file and endeavor to salvage it I become this
When I go into the File Save as in both Word and Excel etc it says ALL files are READ ONLY.
This is a mess. I tin't save any file I accept made to relieve any file to Documents at all. Have to save to desk pinnacle. MESS!
Also when I try to open Outlook (fifty-fifty though I don't use information technology that much) I become this error message.
God I wish I had Windows seven dorsum. Information technology was perfect!

I have the same problem moving from 8.i to 10! Insane. Can't relieve any piece of work, tells me I'm non authorized.. Can't open whatever existing files on the difficult drive, only on USB backup. Saves to who knows?
Been on hold for over 3 hours (gave up after one.5 hrs and tried again subsequently)!!! Why tin't they only fix this problem?
They now want me to upgrade my laptop running seven!

nosotros have a general calculator in the house. No one owns just everyone. With Windows vii information technology was not a problem.
When upgraded to Windows 10 - it did not request a business relationship or password. Information technology was using the aforementioned one.
Then nosotros decided to use Netflix app - when asked for an account and countersign, I gave my ain business relationship and password from my personal figurer. Well information technology changed the administrator to my account.
Next - no one could use the reckoner without my login. I have created a account and set as administrator merely it does not work. This account cannot download app, cannot see the external storage. Cannot practise anything.
I am going to reinstall Windows 10 every bit clean installation. This is my adjacent frustration.

I take almost all these faults (except with Outlook till now). Then I decided to go back to Windows 7 but I can't! I have the answer:
Yous are created one account (Ambassador). Become to Setting>Accounts>Other users to remove these accounts and so try again.
I used both advices of Shawn: netplwiz control and cyberspace user to cheque but no Administrator account besides normal built-in my business relationship was establish.
I went to Setting>Accounts but there I establish only my business relationship as Administrator and ASP.NET machine account among Other Users.
Now I can't piece of work with Windows 10 and tin can't become back to Windows 7. Any help will be appreciated.

I think I have to add that one time I created Administrator account with command net user administrator /agile:yes but then I removed it with command net user administrator /active:no. Besides afterward the computer restart at that place is no admin account seen to cull from. There is simply one and only my user account.
